Potters Balloitini – a smooth solution to an abrasive challenge

Spraytrain.com have for many years provided spray training, spray application and fluid handling consultancy. Client requirements are wide and varied and in some cases require bespoke design and training.

Potters – Ballotini Vibraglaz® produce an innovative new form of abrasive media, made specifically for the well-established global mass finishing market. Developed over the past 9 years – exploring new technological advances – the new media delivers excellent performance, whilst at the same time fulfilling responsibilities asked of industry to protect the environment and conserve world natural deposits.
To ensure the production runs without any problems it is necessary to spray apply a special heat resistant mould release coating. Steve Vaughan consultant from  Potters – Ballotini Vibraglaz said we needed to apply the coating in a controlled manner as well as keeping the coating in suspension without “settling out”.

Mick Warren from Spraytrain.com was asked to provide a design that would: – Control the coating film thickness, provide instant “on tap” production 24/7 and at the same time prevent the coating “settling out”. Spraytrain.com have a vast experience in spray applications and were able to provide a design that could be purchased locally. It doesn’t end there as Spraytrain.com were able to write a working procedure and an airspray training course to ensure trouble free production.

Spraytrain.com provide “off the shelf” spray training courses or as in this case “tailored” spray training course to fit customer needs.
