Severfield UK Ltd invest in training with Spraytrain.com and Spray Plant UK

Since their inception Severfield became internationally synonymous with quality, innovation and unrivalled expertise within the steel industry. Today, with multiple sites in the UK and India, they have an annual capacity to produce around 300,000 tonnes of fabricated steelwork. You’ll find their legacy in infrastructure, transport, culture, the commercial sector and more: you’ll be surprised to see just how many of the iconic landmarks and buildings you know and love are part of their portfolio.

Severfield understand the importance of protecting these modern structures with high performance coatings. These coatings need to need to be applied to specific film thicknesses in order to perform to todays high standards. Severfield invest in training their workforce, not only the spray equipment operators but also the maintenance technicians who are responsible for optimising equipment performance.

To achieve this, Damian Brady, Engineering Manager at Severfield (UK) Limited, contacted Spraytrain.com and Spray Plant UK Limited to provide a spray equipment maintenance training course. The course is part theory with electronic assessment and a “hands on” practical including testing and service record documentation. Mick Warren from Spraytrain.com wrote the theory section with its electronic assessment and the programmed maintenance record system. Spray Plant provided the “hands on” practical in its Leeds workshop.

The training investment will reduce breakdowns by constantly evaluating equipment performance reducing costly equipment repairs.

Contact Spraytrain.com for information on programmed maintenance training.
